How it works

Light, explained simply.

LED masks use selected wavelengths of light. The exact wavelength, output, fit and consistency all matter. We publish the verified specifications of the device rather than relying on vague 'red light' language.

What LED light therapy is

LED (light-emitting diode) skincare uses specific wavelengths of visible and near-infrared light to interact with the skin. Different wavelengths are studied for different cosmetic outcomes.

Why exact wavelength matters

"Red light" is not a specification — it is a colour. Wavelength (measured in nanometres) and output (irradiance) determine how the device behaves. A responsible brand publishes both.

Why fit and distance matter

A mask that sits close to the skin, evenly, delivers a very different experience from one that hovers unevenly. Comfort, weight and strap design are part of the outcome, not decoration.

Why routine matters

Consistency does more than any single session. Kajol's ritual is designed around short, timed sessions that fit into an evening, not marathon sittings that no one keeps up.

What the product is designed to do

Support a consistent at-home ritual with hands-free comfort, a built-in timer, and a routine curated for real evenings. It is not a medical device and does not claim to cure or reverse anything.

General research about light therapy is not the same as evidence about this specific mask. When we can substantiate a claim about The Glow Ritual LED Mask, we publish it here. Until then, we describe the ritual, not the outcome.
